Day Celebration of what i did but what others did in blood and
bones and the sweat and blistered feet of a Waitress in town
who worked 12 hour days.. 7 days a week to support her
Children.. Helen.. and Teenie and Peggy as a single
Mother and before that as a child forgoing
the College Education that her other
two Sisters enjoyed.. dropped
out of School to pick
cotton for sun
up to sunrise
for her Patriarchal
Daddy who lost his wife
and her Mother to Breast Cancer
when my Grandmother was young and
had to become in some ways Mother.. Wife
and Sister too.. those hands large and knuckled
with rheumatoid arthritis but still with the magic of
Automatic Writing almost blind in her 70’s and Oil
Painting nature same with losing vision in her 60’s too
to over come the emotional Grief of losing her Father who had
really been her one and only man in her life aCross all the span
of living and two doors down in a tin home on the river front of
Black water in down town Milton Florida last Century with he and
his son naming parts of the Beach here as the first settlers there
before it became the Bikini and Boat Paradise it is in tanning way now…
Anyway.. back to the Dancing in Public for 7400 Miles in ‘just’ 45 months
along with writing the 4 Million Plus words in the same period of humanly
measured time.. just imagine the miles my Grandmother put in being
a Waitress 12 hours a day 7 days a week walking to and from
work too.. as she never drove a car.. yep.. that was when
women were women.. heHe.. and you see
what i do is just an average of every day
of the year of less than 6 miles a day
what i write comes in transcendent
ecstatic bliss in the Heaven
of Now.. but 20 miles
a day for mY Grandmother
over the course of 12 hours
of waitressing every dam day
of the week for over a decade.. sure
somewhere around that many miles a day
as people use to move regularly all day to
make a living in general ‘back in the day’ too..
thing i remember most is the oral tradition of the
family talking around a table long before we had a
Black and White TV at age 7.. and then my Grand
mother Started watching General Hospital in the
60’s and the wife is still watching it now
50 years later.. and sure there
is a whole lot of nostalgia
in it for me for i can
still hear the
opening

and see it on Black
and White TV as that is
just the kind of memory i am
blessed and cursed with too..
and now finally in oral tradition

i always wondered as i always did the input instead
of the output when will i learn how to flow words in vocal
and written way too.. practice.. use it or lose it.. they had it
simply ’cause they just did it day in and day out THE TV then

so what do we have.. what did my Grandmother Teach me about
Hard work and what is good about life.. all there was is was oral tradition
and when i broke down as a robot from the input of life at age 47.. my Dear Great
Aunt Jettie at Age 94 and her elder peers were still doing oral tradition then
with TV turned off.. and they had smiles and they still have smiles etched
in my Memory Forevermore now with a tear in my eye.. it’s true they
were givers and sharers in paramount way.. with no talk about
material or money things ever.. just sharing and giving
the emotions and senses of the Flower of
SenTiEnt stAR duST plUS LiFe Giving
